A design system built for scale

Before any screen was drawn, the platform needed a shared vocabulary: a primary and accent color palette, a Montserrat type scale, a consistent icon set, and reusable navigation, list, card, and input patterns. That system let a small team ship a consistent product across dashboard, requisition, and consultant-facing surfaces.

An at-a-glance operating view

The dashboard summarizes open requisitions, active consultants, and running projects, with a warning icon that appears automatically when consultant hours run low.

From Requisition to Hire

From Requisition to Hire

Users can start a requisition three ways — from the watchlist, by cloning an existing one, or from scratch. Candidates are reviewed side-by-side with role fit, availability, and background-check status. A companion client-facing dashboard, built for Avenida 8 clients, gives visibility into budget, deliverables, and approvals without needing to ask.

Team & Process

My Role

I was the only designer on this project, working alongside one illustrator who created several of the illustrations used throughout the platform.

Process

I started by reviewing all existing documentation and holding stakeholder meetings to get up to speed. We ran this as an agile project, with regular check-ins every morning. As a team, we held sprint planning meetings to decide together which components to build in each sprint — a collaborative approach that made the MVP deliverable much faster. At the end of every sprint, I handed off the finished designs to the developers.
